IML: Instructional Materials for the Future
A Letter From the Director:
Welcome to IML.
For more than 35 years, IML has been providing educators with helpful instructional tools—instructor guides and student workbooks, CDs, and instructional management systems, to name just a few.
Whether you’re familiar with IML’s products or visiting our site for the first time, we invite you to look around and consider some of the items and services we have to offer:
- An extensive catalog of curriculum materials for a wide range of subjects
- Supplemental materials for instructors and administrators, such as posters, PowerPoints, and CDs
- Product news updates
- Online purchasing
Curriculum administrators should explore EATOnline, a software package that enables Missouri school districts to create curriculum and align it to Missouri state standards.
We are also very proud of our association with our partner organizations, and we encourage you to visit their sites by clicking on their icons on the right side of the page.
The Show-Me Curriculum Administrator’s Association (SMCAA) is dedicated to identifying and sharing successful curriculum and instructional strategies and providing a networking framework for all administrators working with curriculum.
Instructors in automotive technology will be particularly interested in visiting Today’s Class and ATech. Both Today’s Class and ATech are ASE Certified Training Providers.
IML has always offered quality curriculum materials at a competitive price, but as technology and the demands of the classroom change, instructional materials have to change too. Over the coming months, IML will begin introducing new products and services to help instructors and students reach their classroom goals. These products and services will focus on new and updated information and features that can be used with IML’s existing materials or with other curricula. Some of the projects in development include the following:
- E-newsletters and Web logs for our different curriculum areas
- Online content management
- More visual and audio features to appeal to more learning and teaching styles
- More interactive lessons and features
Many of these new features will be designed to make use of the advantages offered by computers and the Internet in the classroom. They will form the basis of IML’s planned online learning community, a Web-based resource that will continue to offer the benefits of print-based curriculum materials, plus much more.
We at IML are proud of our history of curriculum development, and we look forward to bringing you the next generation of instructional materials.
Sincerely,
Dr. Dana Tannehill, Director |
